Determinantes sociales de salud
Transformamos realidades por medio de investigaciones
We prioritize social determinants of health as one of the key factors for health-related quality of life in the Dominican Republic. Thus, our studies involve:
Valid and Reliable Data
Analyzing gender relationships, cultural patterns and structural violence phenomena, frequently related to stigma and discrimination towards specific social groups and communities.
Partnerships
Collaborating with local and international non-governmental and civil society organizations to involve and assist vulnerable and hard-to reach populations, including migrants, residents of low-income rural communities, transgender women, men who have sex with men, female sex workers and drug users, among other frequently excluded and stigmatized social groups, in defining and transforming their social and health-related realities.
