Youth culture
We design participative studies on different aspects of youth culture in the Dominican Republic, including sexual and reproductive rights, access to health services, adolescent lifestyles, toxic habits, potential risk and resilient behaviors, among other related topics, providing a framework for analysis of health-related needs of adolescents and young people living in the country, while deconstructing social stigma frequently related to diverse youth groups. Our interprofessional study teams actively involve young leadership in research and intervention activities in different public health areas, preparing new generations of community leaders for evidence-based analysis and transformation of their own health-related determinants.
