Summary

The focus of the project is to strengthen evidence-based strategies for prevention, treatment and stigma reduction in HIV services for military personnel and communities in border areas with Haiti, assisted by the military health system in the Dominican Republic (DR). The strengthening of these capacities is accomplished with two components: Technical Assistance and Stigma Reduction Interventions, and Knowledge Management and Data Quality.

This project has a duration of 42 months (3.5 years) during which it is assiting the Dominican military in reducing stigma and discrimination among health providers in military and non-military hospitals and military personnel located in border areas. It is supported by the Specialized Border Security Corps (CESFRONT).
